Most of the photographs on this page are of Stang End Cruck cottage. This is a typical moorland farmhouse and is probably at least 400 years old. It was rescued from Danby and reconstructed at Ryedale, where it has been restored to illustrate its decor and furnishings from 1704. The house is divided into two halves with the heath and table in one end and the beds in the other.
