Introduction to the Garden

The woodland area seems more peaceful than that found in English gardens. Maybe
because it was so tidy and quiet, but perhaps because of the careful positioning of each
tree and shrub.
The Koi swam purposefully around the pool, the bright colours of the occasional silver
or gold contrasting with the camouflage of the more plentiful speckled brown.
The background sound of traffic in the distance was disturbed periodically by the splash
of a fin, tail or mouth breaking the surface and the crunch of feet on gravel as other
visitors walked past.
