Some of the old walled villages and mansions still remain as museums in Kowloon.
Tai Fu Tai Mansion was built by Man Chung-leun in 1865 and is now restored and open to the public.

Sam Tung Uk was the village of the Chan clan and has now been restored as a museum nestling between the tower blocks.
