Victoria is the smallest mainland state and the most densely populated - probably because it has such a temperate climate. The state capital is Melbourne. It's also one of my favourate cities in Australia. As with most state capitals in Australia, it's on the coast.
It also has Captain Cook's cottage in Fitzroy Gardens, moved brick by brick from it's original home in Yorkshire, England.
