Sydney Harbour Bridge was designed by English firm Dorman Long and Co Ltd, of
Middlesbrough who built the similar
Tyne Bridge in Newcastle
Upon Tyne and opened in March 1932. It carries rail, cars, bicycle and pedestrian traffic
between the Sydney central business district (CBD) and the North Shore. The arch has a
span of 503 meters and its summit is 134 meters (440 feet) above sea level.

The Bridge can be climbed - if you don't suffer from vertigo
- and the climb is worth it (so I'm told).
