The official part of the Palace is the best part. It is a beautiful building decorated with vases from Sevres and Yildiz and railings made of crystal glass from Venice, crystal and silver candle holders, crystal chandeliers, curtains of silk from Hereke, gilded cornices and silk carpets. I image that Versailles is a little like this but as I’ve never been, I don’t know.
